A levelling guide that learns from the people who play it.

Palmpilot plans your next quest from where you stand. Your play makes the routes better for everyone.

Download for Windows
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”?

That blue box is Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. It warns about programs from a publisher it does not know yet: the app is not code-signed with a paid certificate yet, so Windows names it an Unknown publisher.

  1. Click More info.
  2. Check that the app is the Palmpilot installer you just downloaded, then click Run anyway.

The installer and every update are signed with Palmpilot’s own update key, and the app installs no update that key did not sign.

How it works

No written route: it weighs everything you could do next, from your place, quest log, level and gear.

It plays ahead

The planner

It plays out the next ten steps and keeps the quickest plan, picking up quests before you fight their mobs.

A plan that holds

Price on change

The plan only changes when another saves real time. Go elsewhere and it plans again from there.

Errands ride along

Hand-ins, vendors, trainers

Hand-ins, junk and new spells wait for a trip you make anyway, all in one visit per town.

Worth, not a rule of thumb

What a chain is worth

Each quest chain is priced by what it gives: XP, gear, buffs, spells and flight paths.

Paths players walked

The arrow

The arrow follows the trails players walk, through caves and doors, and flies when that is faster.

It learns from play

Data and testing

Recorded play shows where quests really are and how long they take; a simulator tests every change.

Getting started

  1. Download the app

It installs the addon and keeps it up to date.

  2. Sign in with Discord

You are in at once, and in our Discord too: react 👍 on its rules.

  3. Choose: Tester or not

With Tester on (the default) your play is sent to improve the routes. Off: nothing is sent.

  4. Play

    Just level.

What is collected, and why

With Tester on, the app sends the addon’s own save files: what it noted while you played.

What they hold

  • Quests: offered, taken, done, and where
  • Fights and rests: how long, against what, and deaths
  • Quest drops, and how many kills they took
  • Your gear, talents and stats
  • How long each level took
  • Where you walked and died
  • How you used the guide
  • Your reports, with what you wrote
  • Character names, realms, class, race and level
  • Addon, app and game versions, and your computer’s name

What is not sent

  • Chat, of any kind
  • Your password
  • Your account name (only a one-way code made from it, to tell your WoW accounts apart)
  • Other addons’ data, screenshots or other files
  • Your gold, bags, mail or professions
  • From Discord: no email, no messages, no list of your servers

Why: your play shows where the routes are slow or wrong, so the next ones are better.

Rather not share? Turn Tester off. Want your data gone? Ask in the Discord’s support forum. Sign out any time on your account page.

What you need

  • World of Warcraft: Forever
  • A Discord account, to sign in
  • Windows, for the app

Questions

Is it allowed by Blizzard?

It is a normal addon: it never moves, fights or plays for you, and the app never touches the game. Blizzard has not reviewed it, so use your own judgement.

Do I need the app to use the addon?

No. The addon works alone and sends nothing. The app keeps it updated and, with Tester on, shares your play.

Can anyone join?

Yes: sign in with Discord and you are in, the Discord too. It is early, so things break; every report is read.

What does it cost?

Nothing. It is free.

How do I stop?

Turn Tester off or uninstall the app, and sign out on your account page. For deletion, ask in the Discord’s support forum.

A step is wrong. How do I say so?

Press Report in the guide window (or type /pp report) and say what went wrong.

Where do I get help?

In the Discord’s support forum.
